As Palmeiras begin centenary celebrations, the new strip that will be brought out to commemorate the occasion has offered a very tiny sneak preview to fans online ahead of its launch on January 30.
As revealed on lancenet.com, the Alviverde’s new kit will have a special logo on emblazoned on it, saying “100 ANOS PALMEIRAS”- although the teasing photo doesn’t even give away the whereabouts of said logo on the strip.
One of Brazil’s most successful club sides, with eight wins in the Campeonato Brasileiro, two Copa do Brasil victories and a solitary Copa Libertadores, Sao Paulo-based Palmeiras only recently returned to Serie A following relegation in 2012.
They have recruited extensively for a return to the top flight, including the signing of Brazil stalwart Lucio, and will be aiming to make their centenary season as memorable to supporters as the new strip will no doubt be.
