Ghanian defender lee Addy, who helped the Black Stars reach the Quarter Finals of the last World Cup, has boldly declared that Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo poses little threat to him ahead of this year’s tournament.

The 23 year-old Dinamo Zagreb player told ghanasoccer.net that potential Ballon D’or winner Ronaldo is “not a big deal for me. I will handle him with ease and make him look like he’s not a good player.”

The comments, which are in all likelihood not going to unsettle CR7, show a confidence ahead of the summer in Brazil of a team that actually went further than their European counterparts in South Africa in 2010.

Just how accurate Addy’s prediction is remains to be seen but the two teams will face each other in Group G in Brasilia on June 26.

Ronaldo inspired Portugal to the finals with a mesmerising display in a Play-Off against Sweden in November and is sure to be one of the main attractions when the tournament kicks off on June 12.
