Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani will reportedly speak to Santos president Odilio Rodrigues about a possible deal for Robinho.

The 69 year-old is in Brazil to celebrate the new year, but is expected to use his trip to negotiate the sale of the Seleção international.

“Galliani usually travels to Brazil to celebrate the new year and this time he will make the most of the trip by meeting with Rodrigues,” insists Lancenet.

Santos attempted to sign Robinho over the summer, but affter prolonged negotations, the forward eventually extended his contract with Milan.

This season, despite earning an international recall, Robinho has not been a regular at the Rossoneri. He has made just ten starts, scoring three goals.

A move back to Santos would give him the opportunity to play a more prominent role and ensure he keeps his place in Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari’s plans for next summer’s FIFA World Cup.
