Cruzeiro midfielder Everton Ribeiro has admitted he would rather join Manchester United than Real Madrid.
The 24 year-old, who was voted the best in the 2013 Brasileirão after playing a key role in a Raposa’s title success, has been strongly linked with a move to Europe.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid are believe to be most keen, with a January transfer looking increasingly likely to happen.
When asked whether he would rather join Manchester United or Real Madrid, Ribeiro admitted his preference was for the former.
"Yes, I would prefer that [to join Manchester United]," he said, as reported by the Daily Mail. "The structure they have in place is one of the best in the world. I have been there already and went to a lecture by [Sir] Alex Ferguson when I was younger.
"I feel I am ready to play in any part of the world. If you play for Cruzeiro, you can play in any place. I would fit in any part of the midfield. I would do well as a playmaker to support the attack."
Ribeiro, who has been capped by Brazil at under-20 level, joined Cruziero from Coritiba. This season he scored seven goals and provided eleven assists in 35 appearances for Marcelo Oliveira"s side.
