Bayern Munich right-back Rafinha has spoken about the importance of winning the FIFA Club World Cup and discussed a possible recall to the Brazil national team.

Although he declined to talk in depth about a possible return to the Seleção side, he said Scolari will be aware of his performances for the German club.

“I’d rather not talk about (Brazil). I have to concentrate on my work at Bayern. Let my feet speak for me. I’m playing every week, Wednesday and Saturday. I’m sure that Scolari is seeing this.”

Bayern manager Pep Guardiola has given the 28-year-old more opportunities since taking over as Rafinha has made 15 appearances in this season’s Bundesliga compared to just 13 in the previous campaign.

The FIFA Club World Cup is the Brazilian’s sixth title with the German side and he rubbished any claims that it doesn’t mean as much to European teams, however he did allude to suggestions that Brazilian clubs value the competition more.

“Importance? Sure we gave it importance. Did you see how we played? We played with great desire. Such a title, it’s not every year that we can play. We know the size.

“Europeans give so much importance to this title, it means a lot. Of course it’s not the same size as to South American Brazilian’s…this title means a lot to us.”
