Bayern Munich defender Dante admitted Brazilian side Atlético Mineiro might have given them a tougher game had they reached the final but was thrilled to win another title.

The FIFA Club World Cup was the most important trophy of the season for Galo, after they won the Copa Libertadores, but for the German side the most important championships are the Bundesliga and Champions League.

Despite this Dante cherished adding another title to his illustriously CV.

“The important thing was winning. Of course I would rather have played against Atlético Mineiro and maybe the game would be even more complicated.

“Importance of another career title, having complied with this tournament, a very important tournament. I take every game with Bayern Munich, each title because no trophy will replace the other.”

Bayern answered any critics by winning 2-0 in the final yesterday and now Dante is looking forward to a much-needed rest before the winter breaks ends on January 24th.

“Now I need some rest so we start well in January.”

After completing the treble last season Bayern will be looking to win the quadruple. They look on course as they lead the Bundesliga by seven points and are into the next round of their respective cup competitions.
