Kaká believes Gareth Bale would be welcomed at Real Madrid if he secures a move from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The two clubs finally opened negotiations over a €115 million transfer of the Wales international on Wednesday, while coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted he is hoping for a speedy resolution.

Madrid stars Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos have already thrown their support behind the proposed deal, and now Kaká has praised the 24-year-old forward.

“He’s a very, very good player,” he told Sky Sports News. “If he comes to Madrid he will be welcomed.

“He’s an amazing player with lots of technical ability, skills and tricks. We will be very happy if he comes.”

Kaká has re-joined his Madrid team-mates in the US, after some individual training, and has been included in Ancelotti’s 20-man squad for Thursday’s International Champions Cup opener with LA Galaxy.
