Liverpool star Coutinho is honoured by the reception he’s had from fans since his move to the club in January and believes he’s ready to push on in the English game next season.

The Brazilian became an instant hit at Anfield after arriving from Inter Milan and the club have sold more shirts with his name on than any other player this summer.

However, this season the 21-year-old will carry an increased burden next season with Luis Suarez banned for the first six games, but Coutinho has no problem with that, reports The Sun.

He his also not phased by the belief that players have figured out his style of play and will target him next season.

He said: “We play in our head. You have to be able to think ahead and you must know that other players are coming to get you.

“But every game I go into, I have a plan in my head about what I want to do — I have to be quick enough not to be hit.

“It is more physical in England than in Brazil, definitely, and when you put your head up you will see two or three players who are ready to hit you, so you have to have an idea already.

“But I have the self belief to deal with that, and the fact the fans have such confidence in me. It gives me belief that I can play better.

“They have made my life easy on the field with the support they have given me.

“And of course it is a great honour to have sold so many shirts with my name on — that only gives you even more confidence to do well.”
