Internacional have officially confirmed via the club’s official site the signing of highly-rated Argentine striker Ignacio Scocco.
The transfer fee has not been disclosed but it is estimated in 6.5 million dollars, he will sign a two-year contract with option to extend for two more years.
Brazil’s national FA has already registered the transfer, as the international transfer window is set to close midnight, Brasília time.
Ignacio Scocco is expected to arrive in Brazil on Wednesday to join the rest of Internacional’s squad.
He is likely to be Leandro Damião’s replacement as European clubs Napoli and Zenit St. Petersburg are interested in the striker.
Besides Scocco, Internacional have also signed Al-Gharafa’s midfielder Alex, contract until 2015.
