Chelsea’s midfielder Ramires believes his team can do better in the European Super Cup next month than they did last season when they were beaten by Atlético de Madrid.
Atlético de Madrid won that game 4-1, Falcao had an impressive performance scoring a hat-trick for the Spanish side.
Ramires hopes things will be different at this time against Bayern, he told Globo Esporte: “I wasn’t happy when we lost the European Supercup last season, especially the way it happened. It was a good and different game, Falcao was very inspired, he made the difference.
“The last time we played against Bayern in a final, it was the biggest joy in the club history as we won the Champions League.
“It will be hard again, but I hope we have another happy ending.”
This year’s Super Cup will be played between Chelsea and Bayern in Prague on August 30. Chelsea won the title once, in 1998, while the Germans played the competition three times, losing each of those times.
