Nicolás Lodeiro wants to stay at Botafogo for a long time, despite possible interest from foreign clubs.
The Uruguayan national team midfielder has become a key player for Botafogo since he was signed from Dutch club Ajax last year.
As Botafogo keep having financial difficulties, foreign clubs are likely to target Lodeiro, who was recently in Uruguay’s Confederations Cup squad.
Lodeiro does not want to leave Botafogo though, he told UOL: “I am happy here, I intend to stay for a long time, joining Botafogo was good for me and for my career.
“I am enjoying here, I am happy and I want to keep growing at Botafogo, I know that I can grow even more and help Botafogo even more too.”
