PSG make €30m Marquinhos offer to cover Thiago Silva exit – reports

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly offered Roma €30 million for highly-rated defender Marquinhos, which could allow Thiago Silva to join Barcelona.

According to Sky Sport Italia on Wednesday evening, the Ligue 1 champions have presented a huge offer for the 19-year-old centre-back, as reported on Football Italia.

The offer covers the €25m valuation that Roma want for the player, which was confirmed by an ‘overheard’ conversation between Roma directors Walter Sabatini and Claudio Fenucci.

The scandal occurred on Tuesday night when the club announced legal action against a radio station that had aired the discussion.

If PSG do pay the €30m for Marquinhos, then it is extremely likely they will allow Thiago Silva to join Barcelona.

The Brazil captain has been strongly linked with a move to Camp Nou ever since last summer, before his move to France.

Barca have even reportedly made bids for Marquinhos too, as an alternative to compatriot Silva.
