Reports in Italy are suggesting Lazio could now be ready to sell Brazil midfielder Hernanes, despite denying speculation this week.

The Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that Lazio may consider selling Hernanes to Paris Saint-Germain in order to strengthen their squad.

President Claudio Lotito has repeatedly insisted that the Seleção international is not for sale, but that hasn’t stopped the Milan-based newspaper reporting that the Rome club would listen to offers for their star man, reports Football Italia.

The Ligue 1 champions are reportedly extremely interested in taking the 28-year-old the France, and could be willing to match the Lazio’s €35m asking-price.

Coach Vladimir Petkovic is keen to bring in some new additions this summer in order to challenge for a Champions League place, but that will only happen if money can come in through sales, sparking speculation that Hernanes could be sold to fund this.
