The court order suspending the game between Brazil and England at Maracanã has been aned and the match will be played on Sunday as planned.

Judge Adriana Costa dos Santos had issued an injunction suspending the game due to Maracanã’s safety conditions, which were not deemed safe for the fans.

Brazil’s FA and the government of the state of Rio de Janeiro alleged that the problem was bureaucratic and that they had the paperwork confirming the stadium is ready.

The situation was considered in foreign and Brazilian press a major embarrassment for the country, as the Confederations Cup is set to start in June.

The court order was aned around midnight, Rio de Janeiro time, by judge Gracia Cristina do Rosário, allowing the game to go through despite the allegations that the stadium is not safe for the fans.

All the 70,000 tickets for the game have already been sold, Brazil will also play a game against France in Porto Alegre before the debut against Japan in the Confederations Cup.
