The agent of Thiago Silva has reiterated that his client will not be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer, amid reported interest from Barcelona.
The Brazil international is continually being linked with a move to the Camp Nou outfit, who were also interested in Silva last summer.
The Liga champions have supposedly earmarked the centre-back as the perfect addition to their defence, but his representative has stressed that the 28-year-old’s future is at the Parc de Princes.
Paulo Tonietto told L’Equipe: “Have you seen a proposal from Barca? Well, neither have I. There would be a lot of interest if PSG were willing to sell, but that would be a huge surprise to me. His future lies at Paris Saint-Germain.
“He signed a contract here just one year ago and it is out of the question that he leaves. That"s all there is to it.
“He would be disappointed if [Carlo] Ancelotti left PSG, but his future does not depend on Ancelotti."
Thiago Silva, who will captain Brazil at the upcoming Confederations Cup, has a contract with the Ligue 1 champions until June 2017.
