New Barcelona signing Neymar says it will be an “honour” to face Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo when the duo take on each other in La Liga next season.
Neymar snubbed Real’s advances in favour of joining rivals Barcelona and Neymar says it was a decision made with his heart.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is a great player,” Neymar told reporters. “He is skillful and it will be an honour to face him. Hopefully I can win.
“I talked to God to give me wisdom and directed me the right way, so I chose Barcelona. I chose to join Barcelona because it was a wish that came out of my heart. Change is always difficult, but I hope to be able to adapt as soon as possible.”
However, Neymar will first travel with the Seleção to the Confederations Cup before packing his bags for the Catalan giants.
