Internacional’s striker Leandro Damião has been linked in Spanish press with a move to Atlético de Madrid.

The Spanish club are considering signing him as a replacement for Colombian striker Falcao, according to El Confidencial.

A percentage of Falcao’s transfer fee would be used to fund the signing of Leandro Damião. Internacional are believed to want around 20 million Euros for the striker.

He has also been in Tottenham’s radar in recent years, the English club attemped to sign him in previous transfer windows but the offers were considered too low.

He also been linked to Napoli as a replacement for Edinson Cavani, but Internacional’s president Giovanni Luigi criticized the Italian club for negotiating with his agent behind his back.

Marseille are also interested in Leandro Damião but the French club’s board admitted that the striker might be too expensive.
