Botafogo boss Oswaldo de Oliveria has denied reports suggesting that his star midfielder Clarence Seedorf could return to AC Milan next season as head coach.

Seedorf suggested last month that he would like to return to the San Siro in a coaching capacity when he eventually calls time on his playing career.

A number of Italian reports claim that Milan president Silvio Berlusconi considers Seedorf as the main contender to replace Massimiliano Allegri in the Rossoneri hot seat in the summer.

However, Oswaldo has laughed off talk of the former Netherlands international leaving Botafogo in the coming months. The 62-year-old coach said:

”If he is able to be a Botafogo player and coach Milan at the same time, he can go. But I really need him here.”

Seedorf, 37, ended his 10-year stay at Milan last July to join Botafogo on a two-year deal.
