According to Catalan newspaper Sport, two representatives of Santos forward Neymar are currently in Barcelona to strike a deal with the La Liga side over the player’s transfer this summer.

Sport, who specialise in coverage of FC Barcelona, state that among the duo is agent André Cury—known to be a friend of Barcelona president Sandro Rossell, and also an acquaintance of Neymar’s father.

Cury, who was responsible for both Keirrison and Henrique’s arrivals at the Camp Nou in the past, regularly travels with Neymar Snr on trips with both Santos and the Brazil national team. He is reportedly accompanied by another agent Marquinhos Malaquias.

However, in what would be an intriguing development, the O Estado de São Paulo newspaper suggests that Neymar’s father is also present on the current visit.

Neymar’s official representative is Brazilian superagent Wagner Ribeiro. However, reports insist that the visit of the duo is directly related to a possible transfer of Neymar in the near future.

Sport reported last month that the player and club have had a signed agreement over a future transfer in place since November 2011, with the fee said to top the scales at €45 million.

The reports suggest that, as part of the deal, Barcelona have already forwarded an advance €10 million payment to Brazilian side Santos.
