Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed his concern over the ankle injury that Lucas Moura suffered during their 2-1 win over Nancy on Saturday.

The Brazilian midfielder was forced off just before the hour mark at the Parc de Princes, following a strong challenge from Nancy’s Thomas Mangani.

Lucas will undergo an MRI scan on Sunday to determine the severity of the injury, which Ancelotti is understandably worried about.

“He must pass tests. Am I worried? Naturally,” the Italian said:

“I hope he will recover soon, but I cannot say as I have not yet spoken to the doctor.”

The young Seleção star could be out of action for several weeks, especially after he previously picked up a knock on the same ankle.

Lucas said: “It was a very dangerous tackle. I was very scared at the time and I’m still in shock.

“It’s the same ankle that I injured in the first match against Valencia. It was a strong entry into the supporting foot.”
