Roma have released a statement announcing that Brazilian defender Marquinhos has been ruled out for ‘seven to ten’ days due to a thigh injury.
As a result, the youngster is set to miss Roma’s trip to Udinese at the weekend which will come as a blow to the Serie A giants as they also have Miralem Pjanic out for a month.
The 18-year-old defender has become an important player at the Serie A side club since arriving from Corinthians in the summer of 2012.
Marquinhos has been linked with a number of top European clubs in recent months, such as Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid but has claimed he is happy at Roma.
