Real Madrid star Kaká was pleased with his performance in his side’s 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Kaká, 30, has struggled to get into the Madrid side in recent weeks and was told he could leave the club in January, only for a move to his former team AC Milan to fall through.

However, the Brazil international impressed against Rayo and admitted that he is in good shape.

“I feel good physically. I could help actively in the match and that made me very happy,” he told reporters after game.

Madrid won thanks to goals from Alvaro Morata and Sergio Ramos but the game was slightly soured when Ramos was later sent off for a second bookable offence.

“The game became more physical after the sending off. We understand and we should act with 10 on the field. Playing with one less is very difficult because it makes you run and fight more. We left satisfied with the result.

“The victory was very important, since we will have a quiet week to rest and train. We will prepare our job well.”
