Flamengo defender Wallace believes that his team will have to pay special attention to Clarence Seedorf when they face Botafogo on Sunday.

Wallace, 25, joined Flamengo from Corinthians last month and is looking forward to his first Rio classico against the Fogão at the Engenhão.

“Botafogo have a very strong attack and I think the game will be open because of the characteristics of the teams,” Wallace told Globo Esporte.

“If you take the number of goals from both teams, it has been high. I hope our defence does not suffer goals and the game is only open on their side (laughs).

“He (Seedorf) is a player of great quality and a team leader for Botafogo. I had the opportunity to play against him and he made one of the goals if I’m not mistaken.

“He has an absurd technical level, but let’s try to neutralise him. We must stop as much as we can the ball arriving at his feet. We will try to block and not let him get the ball. It is the best way.”
