Corinthians have confirmed that they have yet to be approached by Inter for their dynamic midfielder Paulinho.

The midfielder is subject of intense speculation after reports that Inter are ready to lodge a bid after the sales of Wesley Sneijder and Phillipe Coutinho.

But sporting director Edu Gaspar told reporters: “We have not met with anyone. There have been no official offers for Paulinho.

“If Inter are interested then they should speak with us, then with the player.”

The release clause for Paulinho is reported to be close to the €18m mark but Inter are prepared to lodge a €15m bid according to reports in Italy.

Coutinho is set to seal a move to Liverpool later today after the player flew in for a medical and Sneijder has made his debut for Galatasaray.
