AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has admitted that the Italian giants have received an offer for striker Alexandre Pato, but refused to reveal who from.

Pato, 23, has publically stated that he is unhappy in Milan and is open for a move from San Siro in January as he looks to kick start his career again after a run of poor form and injury.

“It is true, there came an offer for Pato,” Galliani told AC Milan TV.

There have been a number of stories relating to the future of the former Internacional striker in the past few weeks, and Corinthians, who were crowned Club World Cup champions on Sunday, have identified Pato as their number one target for next season.

And on Wednesday Italian football website Football Italia ran a story saying that AC Milan will look to offer Corinthians a swap deal that could see Paulinho go to Milan and Pato to the Timão.
