Corinthians will be facing Al-Ahly on Thursday after the Egyptians overcame Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the quarter final.

Mohamed Aboutrika was the difference between the two sides as Al-Ahly sneaked through with a 2-1 win and the striker told reporters:”The most important thing is to win the game; we are here to entertain the people.

“Playing in this game is a big thing because of what’s happening in Egypt, because there’s no league in Egypt.

“What happened in Port Said and the martyrs, we’re more enthusiastic to win. We’re just playing for entertainment.”

The African champions are likely to be without talismanic captain Hossam Ghaly who limped off with a injury against the Japanese champions.

Corinthians have no injury issues as they enter the competition for the first time since their entry into the inaugural tournament in 2000.

The winners of the tie will go through to the final to face either England’s Chelsea or Mexico’s Monterrey.
