The agent of Flamengo striker Vagner Love has revealed that his client has offers from two Russian clubs proposing a return to the country in January.
Vagner Love, 28, made clear his frustration last month after a year in which Flamengo have lurched from crisis to crisis, with wages regularly not paid on time in recent months.
The club have also recently revealed that they might not be able to make the next installment on Vagner Love’s transfer fee, due to be paid in January. All of which could pre-empt a return to Europe.
“Two Russian clubs want Vagner Love. Besides CSKA, who hold great affection for him, Rubin Kazan also sent a proposal,” agent Evandro Ferreira told Lance.
“He is very happy at Flamengo and wants to stay. Here he is close to his family, friends and the club of his heart.”
The agent was also clear to stress, though, that although his client was happy at the club for now, if salaries weren’t paid on time and the club continue to lack respect to their employees, then he would look to take up one of the offers currently on the table.
