Chelsea’s David Luiz has revealed that he likes an argument on the training field and once almost came to blows with club legend Didier Drogba.

In an interview with the Sunday People, Luiz says he has had spats with John Terry and Frank Lampard at the training ground.

Luiz told the tabloid: “I knew the responsibility of wearing the Chelsea shirt, but I kept it in my mind I would never be intimidated by the big names.

“Didier and I almost had a fight when he got angry after I challenged him during training. But having an argument is a good thing for the team and the players have to feel comfortable with that.”

Luiz will now be concentrating on impressing new boss Rafael Benitez on the training pitch after being picked ahead of Gary Cahill in Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Manchester City on Sunday.
