Brazil legend Rivaldo is considering the possibility of playing for another season after leaving Angolan side Kabuscorp.

The 40-year-old took to Twitter to announce his departure from the African nation: “It is farewell day here in Angola, but only for football. For sure, Angola is my home forever. I will miss it, but soon, I will be back.”

The forward has had a succession of injuries which have forced him to leave his current club, and has put a decision on hold whilst he recovers.

Rivaldo also said in a follow up tweet: “With this injury, it virtually ended the championship for me in Angola. I’ve got to think if I am going to stop playing or play another year.”

There have been rumours of a return to Brazil, with Paraná, a state championship side, appealing to Rivaldo to join.

Rivaldo is winding down a long and successful career, having played for Barcelona, AC Milan and Olympiakos as well as appearing 74 times for Brazil.
