Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova has praised the attitude and professionalism of his players and was pleased to see Dani Alves make his return from injury.
Vilanova told reporters after their 3-0 win over Alaves in the Copa del Rey: “It’s very good news that Dani is back and the game was good for him.
“He’s been a bit up and down physically recently but did well this evening and struck up a good understanding with Alexis, who was unlucky in front of goal a couple of times.”
The Barca coach was also delighted with the performance and praised his side’s professionalism: “These players have won everything, World Cups and European Championships, but they come here and put in a great performance against a Segunda B team.”
Dani Alves made his comeback from injury in the Copa del Rey fixture which saw goals from David Villa, Cesc Fabregas and Andres Iniesta send the Catalans through to the next round of the cup.
