Atlético Mineiro midfielder Ronaldinho is concentrating on beating former club Flamengo this evening for three points and not revenge.

The 32-year-old made a surprise move to Mineiro in June when he signed a six-month contract with the club just four days after leaving Flamengo.

The reverse fixture last month saw the Rubro-negro claim a 2-1 win, thanks to goals from Vágner Love and Liédson.

However, Ronaldinho is looking for a much better personal performance and end result from this evening’s game at the Independência.

The former Barcelona player said: “This is an important game and there will not be a rematch even if this game will be worth more than just three points.

“This is a very important game and all the players love to play these games and I want to play also.

“I have played several games with supporters against me, it’s normal. But now I have the chance to play in front of my fans at home so there will be no room for error.”

Mineiro are currently second place in the Brasileirão and trail league leaders by nine points, with five games remaining after tonight.
