Brazil coach Mano Menezes believes the Seleção need more experienced players like Kaká, following the Real Madrid midfielder’s inclusion in his Brazil squad for the upcoming fixture with Colombia.

The 30-year-old playmaker is part of Menezes’ 21-man selection for the friendly in New Jersey on November 14.

Kaká made his international comeback last month during friendly wins over Iraq and Japan, in which he scored on both occasions.

The former AC Milan’s return has been hailed by many players and fans alike due to Kaká’s beneficial experience.

Mano Menezes said: “Football is not just about experience. But it is clear that we need it and that is very important.

“Kaká is already known from other major competitions and we respect him for that.

“I see a lot of other international selections, and compare. There are several players who have over 100 games and we have a group that is not there yet.

“We will try to do the best possible with a mix of youth and experience.”

Kaká now has 84 caps and 29 goals to his name, following his international debut in January 2002, and was also part of Brazil’s World Cup-winning side in 2002.
