Santos coach Muricy Ramalho has echoed Jorge Valdano’s praise of Neymar, hailing him as one of the most creative players in the world.
Real Madrid director of football Jorge Valdano lavished praise on the Santos star last week and when questioned, Ramalho wholeheartedly agreed with the sentiment: “In my opinion, Cristiano Ronaldo is third and it is a fight between Neymar and Messi for the most creative player.”
The coach went on to praise his player: “He does everything that is different, every day. When he does, it’s something amazing. And that’s when we don’t take it seriously in training. Valdano is right, he is very creative.”
Last week, Valdano praised Neymar: “Neymar is a very different player, the most imaginative. He has more creativity than Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi and Cristiano have the ability, the power, but Neymar is a much better dribbler.”
Speculation continues to surround the Seleção star, linking him to a host of European clubs but Neymar has recently stated his intention to see out his contract at Santos until after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
