Neymar scored a stunning solo effort in his 200th appearance in a Santos shirt as they denied Atlético Mineiro a chance to close on the title leaders with a 2-2 draw at the Vila Belmiro.

The Seleção star ran the show as he and Miralles gave Santos a 2-0 lead before a Atlético Mineiro fightback saw Bernard and Jo rescue a point.

Grêmio held title leaders Fluminense to a thrilling 2-2 draw after a superb Rafael Sobis strike looked to have given the title leaders the three points.

Elano struck a freekick under the wall and past Diego Cavalieri for the opening goal before Fluminense’s Digão levelled the score.

Sobis then struck a a stunning effort from 25 yards out. But Grêmio had the last laugh as veteran Zé Roberto snuck in to give his side a share of the points.

The shock of the night came as Internacional suffered a humiliating 3-2 defeat at the hands of Figueirense.

Goals from Roni and Aloisio in the final three minutes of normal time were enough to secure the three points for Figueirense after they battled back from a goal down twice.
