São Paulo forward Luis Fabiano has ruled out a return to Sevilla despite occasional reports to the contrary that have emerged in recent times.

Fabiano, 31, is currently vying for the top-scorer crown in Brazil with 14 goals this league campaign and is set on helping São Paulo secure a top-four finish for a place in the 2013 Copa Libertadores.

The Seleção striker confirmed that he had spoken with Sevilla in recent times, but insisted that it was a polite congratulatory call on behalf of the Spanish club, following his recent goalscoring exploits.

“Sevilla have called to see how I am and to congratulate me because they know I’m scoring goals,” he told Diario de Sevilla.

“We have a relationship, but my family is happy here and we have only just adapted again.”

Luis Fabiano’s São Paulo side are back in action on Thursday night as they take on Atlético Goianiense at the Morumbi
