Real Madrid"s Kaka believes he is regaining the confidence of boss Jose Mourinho as he helped Real demolish Dutch champions Ajax 4-1 in the Champions League.

Kaka, 30, told reporters: “This has been a very good week for us so far. I think I"m headed in the right direction.

“Today, I showed that the work I"ve been doing is paying off and I"m regaining the confidence of the coach, and that"s what I always hoped would happen.

“I want to gain his trust, play more, and bit by bit I think things will turn out the way they should."

Kaka will be hoping that last night"s performance was enough to secure him a starting berth in the Clásico [versus Barcelona] at the weekend.

Kaka told reporters that he was looking forward to the match against the Catalan giants: “Now we can look forward to giving our all in the clásico baecause it"s a crucial match for us."

The ex-AC Milan midfielder has appeared just once in the league for Real this season ahead of Sunday"s clash against Barcelona.
