Chelsea’s Juan Mata has praised the performances of new boy Oscar as Roberto Di Matteo hands a regular starting berth to the Brazilian.

Oscar, 21, was a topic of interest as the Spanish international told Chelsea’s official website: “I like to play with people like Oscar and Hazard.

“They like to play football the same way as me, we understand each other well and hopefully we can do even better.

“I like to play with the ball, with freedom and to try and get some assists. It’s what we are trying to do and we are having some good results.

“The main aim for us is to win, and if we can do that with a good performance it’s even better for the team and the supporters.”

Roberto Di Matteo’s side have received plaudits for playing a more attractive style of football featuring Brazilians Oscar and David Luiz.

Chelsea now lead the Premier League with 16 points after six games, three ahead of nearest rivals Everton.

They now turn their attention to the Champions League and FC Nordsjaelland tonight, with Oscar expected to feature.
