New São Paulo signing Paulo Henrique Ganso could be fit to make his debut for the club in two weeks, according to reports in the Brazilian media.

The Paulista club believe that Ganso, 22, could make a speedy recovery if he follows their fitness plan in the coming days, having initially been expected to be out-of-action until November.

The news will only add to the suspicions of Santos fans who will believe that the injury was fabricated in order to avoid playing for the Peixe in the interim period – which would have ruled out the possibility of a move.

There is already intense speculation as to who Santos will bring in to replace their departing star, with Kaka and former idols Diego and Robinho top of the list of suggested candidates.

However, any move that may transpire would need to wait for the opening of the transfer window once again on 1 January 2013.
