Atlético Madrid defender Miranda hopes his recent good form in Spain will earn him a call-up from the Seleção.
The 28-year-old, who has six senior international caps to his name, recently helped his side claim the UEFA Super Cup with a win over Champions League winners Chelsea.
During the shock victory in Monaco last month, Miranda added a fourth goal to Colombian international Falcao’s first half hat-trick to secure the 4-1 win.
The former São Paulo player said: “The goal in Monaco was one of my best days since I arrived at Atlético.
“I really celebrated this goal, which has had a lot of repercussions in Brazil.
“I think that I can return to playing with Brazil soon because I am doing good work at Atlético. I have the feeling that I am closer to wearing the jersey of my national team.”
Miranda made his first international appearance for Brazil during a 2010 World Cup qualification match against Peru in April 2009, where he came on as a substitute for Luisão.
The Seleção, as hosts of the 2014 World Cup, are currently preparing for a friendly with China tomorrow, before a double friendly with Argentina on September 19 and October 3.
