Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva could be out of action for two months with a thigh injury, according to reports.
The Brazil international was forced off after just four minutes of play during the Reds’ 2-2 draw with Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool have yet to learn the full extent of the injury, but the Daily Mail claims that Lucas may have suffered a tear.
The 25-year-old, who was named Liverpool’s player of the season for the 2010-11 campaign, only recently made his comeback following eight months out on the sidelines with anterior cruciate ligament damage in his left knee.
