Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that he will not rush new signing Oscar into the first team.

The 20-year-old Brazilian, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Internacional earlier this summer, made his debut for the Champions League holders in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic.

”We’re slowly looking to integrate Oscar like we did with others. He hasn’t been with us long so we have to give time,” Di Matteo told reporters.

Meanwhile, Oscar’s compatriot Ramires was forced to miss Chelsea’s trip to Wigan due to illness, but the former Benfica midfielder is likely to play against Reading on Wednesday after Di Matteo stated that he was now feeling ”fine”.
