The agent of Porto striker Hulk claims that his client is seeking a move to the English Premier League.
The Brazil international has been linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs over the past six months, but reports from the British media are now suggesting that the 25-year-old is on the verge of joining Chelsea.
Hulk’s agent recently stated that this summer is the right time for the forward to leave Porto, and he has now declared that the top tier of English football is the best place for him to boost his chances of being a permanent fixture in Brazil’s squad ahead of the next World Cup.
”Hulk has the desire to play in a better and more competitive league, with the thought of making Brazil’s squad at World Cup 2014,” Theodoro Fonseca told Antena 1.
”The Premier League fulfills that requirement.”
Hulk has a £85.6 buy-out clause in his contract with Porto, which expires in 2016.
