In a widely expectedd move former Argentina national team coach Daniel Passarella has agreed to join SOuth America’s ‘Galactico’s’ at Corinthians.

Previous coach Tite was sacked at the start of the week following a derby defeat to Sao Paulo.

Passarella was immediately put forward as the prime candidate to replace Tite, although Emerson Leao and Carlos Bianchi were also mooted for the role.

But MSI have decided to place their faith in Passarella, who has also taken charge of the Uruguayan national side, in addition to Serie A outfit Parma.

The ex-Argentina captain is bringing in Alejandro Sabella as his assistant and he is due to earn $100,000 a month.

His immediate task will be to prepare Corinthians for the Brazilian Cup and Brasileirao, in addition to lifting the club up the table.
