The Brazil international notched up the opener from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute after Cristian Sapunaru was brought down by substitute Ricardo Dias.
Porto were dominant in the first-half and it took them just six minutes to double their lead when some smart play on the right wing by Hulk enabled Marc Janko to finish the Brazilian’s from inside the six-yard box.
Any hopes Beira-Mira held for a comeback were sunk almost instantly, when Maicon pulled the ball back for Hulk to strike hard and low into the back of the net.
Porto fans were pleased to see the return of Brazil international, Danilo, who replaced Sapunaru in the 55th minute.
