Valdivia limped out of the Verdão’s Paulista state championship match with Paulista on Wednesday night, and after undergoing an MRI scan on Thursday, it was revealed that the Chile international had suffered a mild muscle injury in his left thigh.
The midfielder will consequently miss Palmerias’ Copa do Brasil second round clash with Horizonte, and potentially the rest of the Paulista state championship if Luiz Felipe Scolari’s men fail to reach the semi-finals.
