The British newspaper claims that Rivaldo’s advises had contacted the League One side, offering them the chance to bring the 39-year-old to the Valley on a free transfer.
However, Charlton’s coach Chris Powell reportedly opted against the deal, as he is skeptical of what the former Barcelona ace could offer at his age.
Rivaldo, who was capped 74 times for Brazil, is currently playing for Angolan side Kabuscorp.
