The news follows on from when Corinthians coach,Tite, revealed on Friday that he would not include Adriano in his squad to face Guarani and Cruz Azul, due to the forward"s lack of effort in training.
This had left Timão fans wondering whether the 30-year-old would remain at the Pacaembu beyond his current deal with the club, which expires in June.
But Andrade has confirmed that it would depend solely upon the player"s commitement to Corinthians from now until June.
"We had hoped we would be able to talk about the renewal, but that moment has not arrived yet. He [Adriano] has it in his own hands. He has from March until June to show that he is able to stay at Corinthians," Andrade told Globoesporte.
