Arouca, who helped Santos reach the final of the Club World Cup against Barcelona in Decemeber, has enjoyed a sound start to 2012 and is now being tipped to break in to Mano Menezes" Brazil squad.
"I don"t like talking about myself too much, but I"m happy to be recognised by the Santos fans, and also by the press," the 25-year-old told Globoesporte.
"If I can keep my good form with Santos, I believe that this [call-up] will naturally happen. My dream is to play at the 2014 World Cup."
Arouca has yet to be capped at senior level for Brazil, but has played for the Under-17s and the Under-20s.
