Corinthians had prepared a special training programme to help Adriano regain his fitness, but after his below-par performance against Santos on Sunday, the club have decided he must continue to improve his physical form this week.
The former Roma player is expected to return to action with Brasileiro champions against Guarani in the Campeonato Paulista on Saturday.
