The player, who would be set to receive €1.5 million annual salary, is considering the deal, but has doubts due to his wife’s current pregnancy. The family are believed to be unwilling to leave Brazil during this important time.

Corinthians would have little say in the deal, with investors owning the vast majority of the player’s rights, meaning the club would be set to earn about €1.6 million from the deal.

It is as yet unconfirmed which club has made the bid for the Corinthians striker.
